Conditions of appointment will be as per the notification of the head of the institute and ICMR Guidelines. Members shall be selected in their personal capacities based on their qualifications, experience, interest, commitment and willingness to volunteer the required time and efforts for the IEC.

The quorum will be as specified below:

• A minimum of five members are present in the meeting room.
• A minimum of one non-affiliated member should be part of the quorum.
• No decision will be valid without fulfilment of the quorum.
